 David Shedden
David lives in Glasgow and is currently studying Scottish Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He comes from a strong piping background and has had many teachers over the years. Originally taught by his father, Stuart Shedden, and Pipe Major Gordon Walker, David studied Piobaireachd with the legendary Donald MacPherson who sadly passed away in 2012. He also receives tuition from Allan MacDonald and Stuart Samson while studying at the RCS. David plays with the Grade 1 Scottish Power Pipe Band and came 2nd at the World Pipe Band Championships last year. With the Scottish Power pipe band David performed at this years opening concert at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow. David also competes in many solo competitions and last year he was eligible to compete in the prestigious Silver Medal competition at both Oban and Inverness.
